The Catholic Diocese of Kitui Medical Department is located in Kitui County. Currently, it is headed by the medical coordinator, Sr. Monica Mukui ASN, who reports directly to the Vicar General and the Bishop.

The health department is obligated to support all Catholic-sponsored health facilities towards improving equity and efficiency of service delivery to the communities.
