Upscalling & Implemetation Details:

ADSSR received KES 6,813,000 in March 2020 to implement a 2-year project titled ‘Scaling up pasture production and rehabilitation of degraded range lands through development of community based range grass seed bulking of KARLO identified grass species in Narok County’.

The overall objective of the project is to promote adoption of Climate smart technologies in grass seed and pasture production and market integrated small holder agriculture aiming to reduce the national food deficit and improve agriculture sector competitiveness.

It involves establishing draught resistant range grasses to rehabilitate degraded range lands as well as boosting agribusiness through pasture reaching 900 farmers in Mosiro, Suswa and Lolgorian wards in Narok County.
