Upscalling & Implemetation Details:

Caritas Nyahururu received KES 6,813,000 in March 2020 to implement a 2-year project titled: “Improved productivity, production, agribusiness and incomes by 5,000 small holder farmers in Nyandarua and Laikipia counties due to adoption of KALRO improved indigenous chicken value chain”. The project is implemented in Laikipia and Nyandarua Counties.

The project upscaled KIIC technology through organized common interest groups to reach and sensitize the farmer and transfer knowledge on KIIC. Over 5,000 farmers were directly reached by the project through selected breeder farms distributed across Laikipia and Nyandarua Counties.
