Caritas Kitui is the Development department of the Catholic Diocese of Kitui. It was established in 1978 as development department and branded as Caritas Kitui in 2010.

The County is classified as arid and semi-arid lands (ASAL) with agro-pastoralism as the dominant economic activity. The mission of Caritas Kitui is to enhance integral human development through partnerships and innovations to achieve a sustainable community.

Projects Implemetation Overview:

Caritas Kitui is implementing two value chains namely; Cowpea and Sorghum value chains.
